The XXIX international tournament in memory of Gusman Kosanov started in Almaty, which turned into a real test of our athletics for strength. The national team of Kazakhstan entered this tournament in a very weakened state due to the departure of a very large delegation of strong athletes to the Universiade in Naples, as well as two Ol - Rypakova and Safronova - to the stage of the Diamond League. That's where the nearest reserve had a chance to show that we have someone to hope for even in the absence of established favorites. And our team successfully passed this test of strength.
The first competitive day of the memorial of Gusman Kosanov began so that I wanted to close my eyes and not open my eyes – Kazakhstan athletes seemed so uncompetitive this morning. No, the medals we have won regularly, the benefit that the national team of our country as the host of the competition had the largest number. But here we were very far from gold medals.
It all started with a run on 5000 m in men Islam Amangos finished in General the last of those who reached the finish line. And these in this hot morning was only five of the eight started!
The first medals us brought on this distance there is girls. However, only three athletes took part in the competition, two of which represented our country, so two awards were guaranteed to us. But which ones?
Began to athletes slowly. And for a long time our duet of "dragging" myself to the Uzbekistan stayers was madaliyeva. Her running technique was involuntarily captured attention: short steps, and the work of the corps looked more like sudden twitches. But, as it turned out, such a technique has the right to exist. Only the middle race Olga Bogomolsky ventured on to lead the race, but the heat became a fatal factor. Four laps before the end of the race it is completely "covered", and she had just set a goal to finish without a fight for any result. Victoria Sergeeva could not overtake Madalieva and lost to Uzbek as much as 20 seconds!
In the 200 m race after the preliminary races none of the representatives of Kazakhstan was even close to the top three winners! And both men and women. Rustem Almagambetov from East Kazakhstan did not come out for the national team of Kazakhstan, and the best of our team was Vladislav Boyko cross-linked result of the day. Little that changed and the endgame, where Boyko rose only on fifth place with quite not international seconds in as a outcome. At girls of hit in prize-winners it wasn't necessary to expect initially – the strongest of ours here was Alexander Sytina from Almaty who at the moment only 16 years and to compete with adults to it still very early.
The first gold medal of the national team of Kazakhstan was brought by the Champion of Asia among girls in pole vaulting Polina Ivanova. Skeptics, of course, would say that, they say, there were only two jumpers in the sector, and both were for Kazakhstan. And they would be right, but the result that showed Pauline would have shamed them all – 3.87 m! Is second in career Ivanova, and outdoors she even never jumped. The only time when she showed a better result, fell on the performance in the room in Ust-Kamenogorsk (3.90 m). So even if the best forces of the Asian pole vault came to the Kosanov memorial in Almaty, it would not be easy for them in the confrontation with Polina. The bad thing is that we have from the stunning competition of the girls ' team were only horns and legs. Jan Toybaeva finished a career on the rise, and the Asian Champion Anastasia Ermakova continued the treatment, although I had been announced for these competitions. As a result, from the powerful competition we have only two people – not a lot.
The situation began to change when the sun began to rise higher and baked all merciless. In the 800 m race we saw a desperate felling for the second place between Olga Rypakova, a Tajikistan Odilshokh Ismatov and Sergei Sukhov, a friend from the performance at the International tournament for prizes. Kazakhstan Junior markedly superior to his much more experienced opponent at the finish line (Adilshah older than Sergei to 8 years), but Sukhov simply did not have enough distance to finally get around him and win a silver medal. However, such "fighting" "bronze" we are very glad!
As the fighting happened and a bronze medal in the women's 400 m hurdles. Timur Khudaibergenov only 0.1 s lost to the representative of Tajikistan in the struggle for the silver award. However, fate then thanked Timur for the return in the relay 4 to 400 m, as discussed later. It will be much more important to report that here we have witnessed a new record of the country! Though not our own, and Iran – Mahdi Pirjahan ran the distance in 49.95 with becoming the first ever Iranian, managed to overcome the barrier of 50 seconds!
The girls in this discipline was one question: can someone of the five Kazakhstan athletes to challenge one, but a very titled Christina Proszenko from Tajikistan? Unable. That, however, is not surprising, because Pronzhenko – record holder of his country in the 400 m race, and in the barriers she has much more experience than any of our compatriots, and even all together. Ekaterina Efremova from Altai athletics-2 won a bronze medal at the Gusman Kosanov memorial.
It was a hard win Diana Nusupbekov in the hammer throw. Their confrontation with the Indian discus thrower Jooti became a decoration imposed on the "Almaty-arena" part of the competition. Until the fourth attempt, the leadership was held by the representative of India with the result of 58.69 m. And only in the fourth approach to the projectile Diana sent him further than Juoti. Even if only 16 cm! No matter how hard the opponent of our compatriot, to win back those 16 cm, became the abyss, she could not!
A special surprise came from our relay team, the 4 by 400 m. it was not absolutely one of our all-star trio Litvin-falcons-Tarasov. And many of our, if not all, already managed today run in personal types of, so that freshness was on zero! But with what devotion was rushing our tired guys on the tracks of the Central stadium! Geneticide started first, after the transfer of the sticks are even "dropped" on the track. No less gave all the rest of our Quartet, so much so that for the team photo correspondent had to catch the moment when some athletes found the strength to stand up for two or three seconds at full height, and after clicking the camera shutter again bent in three deaths due to lack of strength! Directly in the race, Kazakhstan finished second, but then in the actions of the winners from the national team of Uzbekistan, the judges recorded some violations, and the triumphants were disqualified, and the laurels went to the Kazakhstanis. And, frankly, hardly anyone will turn the tongue to say that our guys do not deserve it!
